7 Things This Garment Will Not Do. We Would Rather Say Them First.
The Solen Base Day Sock holds the emollient you already use against your skin for longer than cotton can. That is all it does, and here is everything it does not.
If it does not suit you, reply inside fourteen nights and we refund you without asking for it back.
If you have been sold a cure for this before, you already know why we are starting with the list of things this is not.
1. It does not treat eczema

It is apparel. It holds an emollient in place.
Anything that claims to treat a skin condition is making a medical claim, and a sock cannot back one up. What it can do is make sure the emollient the skin already relies on stays on it, rather than in a cotton sock.
2. It does not heal anything

Not cracks, not patches. The emollient does what it does. We keep it there.
3. It is not antibacterial or antifungal

Nothing is infused into it.
Hygiene comes from washing it after every wear, at 40, in the mesh bag, like any other sock worn against skin. That is also why three pairs make sense: one on, one in the wash.
If it does not suit you, reply inside fourteen nights and we refund you without asking for it back.
4. It does not go over a prescription steroid

Unless your doctor has said yes. Occlusion increases how much of a steroid passes into the body.
Covering skin makes it hold more water, and hydrated skin lets more of whatever is on it through. That is exactly why clinicians sometimes cover a steroid on purpose, under supervision. It is also why nobody should do it by accident with a sock.
5. It does not go on broken or weeping skin

At all.
Broken skin needs air, cleanliness and often a clinician. Holding anything against it is the wrong move.
6. It does not go between the toes

Those spaces have to stay dry.
The skin between the toes is thin and already warm and damp. Holding moisture there softens it until it breaks down, and that is where fungal infections start. Emollient should not go there either.
7. It does not replace anything you have been prescribed

It holds what you already use for longer. Nothing more.
Keep the plan you have. This is a sock that fits inside it.
What it does

Cotton absorbs. Bonded silicone does not. So the emollient stays on the skin instead of in the sock.
How it works
- Patch test: one sock, one hour, intact skin.
- Emollient first, sock over it.
- Wash at 40 in the mesh bag.
Before you buy
- Not over a prescription steroid unless your doctor has said so. Occlusion increases how much is absorbed.
- Not on broken, weeping or infected skin.
- Not between the toes. Those spaces stay dry.
