The outer knit is breathable cotton-blend, same as any sock. The silicone is only on the inside face against the sole, which does trap moisture there — that is the mechanism, and a known trigger for some people. Use it on dry, cracked skin; leave it off when it is not.

The two of us
Why we started Solen Base.
We both saw the same thing: the part of the body that carries us all day, looked after last. Family and friends around us struggling with poor foot skin health, kept from the things they loved, whether that was work, running, or just feeling confident enough to take their socks off at home.
Then we saw the measures they were taking to fix it. 40% urea creams. Cling film wrapped around their feet. We had enough, and we wanted to find a solution that got them back into a routine.
