The Solen Filtered Shower Head

You didn't stop doing puzzles. Your neck did. This one tilts up to meet you — and never has to be packed away again.

In stock — order today, arrives by

Free returns, return postage covered. Complete one puzzle on it — if it hasn't made puzzling better, send it back.

Why puzzlers switch

  • Sit back in your chair. The stand angles the puzzle up into your eyeline — no leaning over it, no reaching across it, no shoulders up round your ears.

  • Do twenty minutes, then stop. It's still there tomorrow, exactly as you left it. No all-or-nothing evenings, no restarting the sort.

  • Six trays hold your sort. Edges in one. Sky in another. If sorting by colour first is the best bit, this is the part you'll like.

  • The table goes back to being a table. Cover on, trays in, slides into a 4 cm gap under the sofa with the puzzle still on it.

  • He can sit on it. He can't get in it. The full felt cover keeps paws and dust off the half-finished bit.

  • 2.8 kg — carried one-handed. Felt and light board, not solid pine. Move it from the table to the armchair without asking anyone.

The detail

Product Description

The problem was never the puzzle. A dining table puts a jigsaw flat, below you and at arm's length. That's the position — head down, shoulders forward, reaching across — that ends the evening after twenty minutes. Most people who stop puzzling didn't lose interest. Their body made it expensive.

PuzzleNest lifts the puzzle and angles it towards you. The lid unfolds into a stand behind the board, so it sits in your natural line of sight and everything is within reach without leaning.

It stays exactly as you left it. The non-woven felt surface grips hard enough that completed sections don't move — even carried across a room at full tilt. Six sorting trays run along the bottom edge: edges in one, sky in another, the fiddly greys in a third. Stop after ten minutes if that's all you've got. Nothing has to be swept back into the box, and you never have to sort it twice.

Then it disappears. The felt cover seals the whole surface and folds into the stand, so there's no separate lid to store or lose. Closed, PuzzleNest is 77 × 53.6 × 4.2 cm and weighs 2.8 kg — thin enough to slide under a sofa or bed, behind a door, or into the gap beside a bookcase.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will pieces really stay put when it's tilted?
Yes. The surface is non-woven felt, which grips far harder than the thin flocking on cheaper boards. Angled on the stand, a completed section stays where it is. Loose pieces will drift if you shake it — nothing short of glue prevents that — but normal use, including carrying it across a room, doesn't move them.

I can only manage twenty minutes before my neck goes. Will this change that?
That's the reason the stand exists. Bringing the board up and angling it towards you takes your head out of sustained downward flexion and stops the long forward reach across a flat table. We're describing comfort and reach, not making a medical claim — but it is the most common reason people tell us they stopped.

How heavy is it? My grip isn't what it was.
2.8 kg — roughly a large bag of sugar and a bit. Felt and lightweight board rather than solid pine, specifically so it can be lifted one-handed with a puzzle still on it.

Will it actually fit under my sofa?
Folded it's 4.2 cm deep — that's the number that matters. Most UK sofas clear 10–15 cm, so it's rarely an issue, but measure your gap before ordering rather than assume.

My cat gets on everything. Is the cover genuinely cat-proof?
The full felt cover seals over the whole surface and the trays push in flush, so there's no lip to hook a paw under. He can sit on it — most of them do — but he can't get into it.

What size puzzle does it fit?
Any standard 1,000-piece puzzle. Most 1,500-piece puzzles are larger — message us with the box dimensions before ordering and we'll tell you honestly whether it'll fit.

Which puzzles do I get with the set?
1,000-piece adult puzzles, picked from the range we currently stock. That range is small while we're new, so on the larger sets you may get more than one copy of a design — we'd rather say that here than have it be a surprise on the doorstep. If a design doesn't suit, email us and we'll swap it for whatever else is in stock.

Can I send it straight to someone as a gift?
Yes. Choose "Send as a gift" above — it's free. We leave the invoice out of the parcel and include a card you can write.

What if I don't like it?
Send it back within 60 days for a full refund and we'll cover the return postage. No forms, no restocking fee, and we won't ask whether it's been used. Of course it's been used — that was the point.

The puzzle was never the problem.

It was where you had to do it.

Twenty minutes and my neck's gone. A dining table puts the puzzle flat, at arm's length, below you. You spend the whole evening bent over like a question mark — and pay for it the next day.

We need the table back. So it gets swept into the box, half-finished. You tell yourself you'll restart it. You don't. That's the third one this year.

He waits until I go to bed. One piece. Always one piece. You find it under the sofa three weeks after you gave up on the whole thing.

How it works

Three things a table can't do.

IMAGE — Tilt angles
1

Tilt it towards you

The bracket lid folds out behind the board and props it up at an angle. The felt grips hard enough that pieces don't slide. Your neck stays neutral. Your arms stop reaching.

IMAGE — Sorting trays
2

Sort into six trays

Edges in one. Sky in another. Everything stays where you put it between sessions — so you pick up exactly where you stopped instead of starting the sort again.

IMAGE — Close and store
3

Close it and slide it away

Cover on, trays in, gone — under the sofa, behind the door, beside the wardrobe. Puzzle untouched. Table back. Cat defeated.

The reason it exists

Sit back in your chair. Finally.

A flat table forces your head down and your arms out. That's the position that ends the evening early — not the puzzle.

PuzzleNest raises the board and angles it towards you, so the pieces come into your natural line of sight and within easy reach. Same puzzle. Completely different evening.

Fits any standard 1,000-piece puzzle — the board is 77 × 53.6 cm, with the six sorting trays along the bottom edge.

For the cat households

He can sit on it. He just can't get in it.

The full felt cover seals over the board and doubles as the stand — so there's no separate lid to lose and nothing to store.

Dust off. Paws out. Half-finished puzzle exactly as you left it.

For small UK homes

You don't have a spare table.

Most of us have a coffee table, a dining table that's also a desk, and someone who needs it back by six.

Folded, PuzzleNest is 77 × 53.6 × 4.2 cm and weighs 2.8 kg — thin enough to slide under a sofa or bed, light enough to carry one-handed with the puzzle still on it.

Four reasons people order a PuzzleNest

It's the same board every time. It just solves a different problem depending on who's using it.

The neck

Twenty minutes is all you get

A flat table holds the puzzle below you and out of reach, so you work bent forward with your shoulders up. The tilt stand brings the board into your eyeline instead. Same puzzle, whole evening.

The cat

He's already planning it

One piece, every time, and you find it under the sofa in three weeks. The felt cover seals the whole surface and the trays push in flush. He can sit on it. He can't get in it.

The table

Someone needs it back by six

Most UK homes have a coffee table, a dining table that's also a desk, and no third surface. Cover on, trays in, and the whole thing slides into a 4 cm gap with the puzzle still on it.

The sort

Sorting by colour first is the best part

Six sorting trays along the bottom edge: edges in one, sky in another, the fiddly greys in a third. Stop after ten minutes and it's all still there tomorrow. You never sort the same puzzle twice.

No surprises
