The non-woven felt surface grips the pieces, so completed sections stay put when the board is tilted or carried. Then it disappears. The felt cover seals the whole surface and doubles as the angled stand, so there's no separate lid to lose. Closed, it's 4.2 cm deep — thin enough to slide under a sofa or bed, behind a door, or into the gap beside a bookcase, with the puzzle still on it.
